1. IMMUNIZATION

Community and Center Based:

The immunization coverage of children is 98.93% and of women is 95.60% in our present communities.

2. ANTE-NATAL CARE

Antenatal care is provided through

Doctors
LHVs
Community Health Workers

3. REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND CHILD SPACING THROUGH MOTHER SUPPORT GROUPS

Presently 1,703 mother support groups meet regularly
67.23% of married couples actively practice family planning in target areas
Birth rate in its target areas is significantly below national figures

4. EDUCATION

Home schools in Union Council Ghaggar in Bin Qasim town.
Pre-primary school in Neelam Colony in two shifts
Pre-primary school in Lower Gizri. in two shifts


Over the years over 4000 children have been given primary level education, (1995 -2009) through these schools

5. HEALTH EDUCATION

Health education is provided through women support groups

In 2009, a total of 46,387 women were counseled

6. NUTRITION

Growth monitoring of children (below 5 years of age)
As a result, 91% of children in these low-income areas have normal growth parameters, which are much better than national or provincial standards
Malnourished children are treated through a Community-based programme
Female and adolescent nutrition counseling is done through mother support groups and at the MCH centers.

7. SANITATION

This is done in the form of garbage disposal in drums
It is managed on a self-help basis
Collective salary for sanitary workers is also provided by the community

Health Education & Literacy Programme

HELP is a non-government, Community Based Primary Health Care and Education Programme working in various Katchi Abadies of Karachi and Sanghar and has tax exemption status. HELP comprises of professionals including doctors, social workers, chartered accountants, and lawyers, committed to the development of Primary Health Care.
